Michael Conlan - World Champion

Michael Conlan  is a boxer from Belfast. Representing Ireland, he won a bronze medal in the flyweight at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London and became AIBA World Champion in October 2015.  He talks to us about his thoughts on home.

What does home mean to you?

Home means everything to me, as I am always away from home boxing, being home makes it ten times better. I love waking up in my own bed and being able to do what I like!

Is there a particular memory/experience that sums up home for you?

Alot of my best memory's are from home, growing up in a house of four brothers we always had a great laugh. I always remember Christmas Eve sitting up late in our room because we couldn't sleep, so we would always tell funny storys and take the mick out of each other!

Sum up home in three words

Love, warmth, happiness.
