Join us in our 60th anniversary year, for our annual Private Rented Sector Conference.

This year, we will discuss affordability and homelessness in the context of the private rented sector as well as  solutions to the challenges facing the housing market as a whole.

We will be hearing about challenges and solutions from expert speakers from Northern Ireland and further afield. This will include reflections on our own situation as well as learning from across the UK, Ireland and Europe.

Jordan Buchanan, PropertyPal, will help us set the context of the current market before Anna Evans, Shelter Scotland, talks us through the learning from recent private rented sector reform in Scotland.

Juha Kaakinen, pioneer of the Housing First model, former CEO of the Y-Foundation and Housing Advisor to the Finnish Government will explain how Finland tackled its homelessness crisis and the role played by the private rented sector..

In the afternoon, Dr. Charlie Berry, Shelter England, will speak on affordability in the private rented sector and the impact freezes on Local Housing Allowance have had for renters across the UK.

There will be panel discussions with contributions from Experts by Experience, MLAs, housing experts and landlords.. Delegates will also have the opportunity to attend facilitated workshops.

Our conference will take a hybrid format. This will enable delegates to attend either in-person or virtually.
